More than just a repairs service, appointable and emergency repairs

As part of our commitment to delivering a good quality repairs service, we want to make it easier and more convenient for tenants to report their repairs to us and to book repairs appointments in at a time that is convenient. We now have just 2 types of repairs, appointable repairs and emergency repairs.
You can now book an appointment for a repair that is not an emergency at a time that suits you.
Appointable repairs are things like:
- leaking rainwater pipes and gutters
- repairing or replacing extractor fans
- putting in new taps or re-sealing baths and sinks
- repairs or putting in new fence panels
- putting new doors in and putting new hinges on doors inside my home.
We offer a morning or afternoon appointment time.
Morning – Between 8am and 1pm
Afternoon – Between 1pm and 5pm
We have listened to feedback from tenants and working with tenants as part of Golden Lane Housing’s Repairs Forum has helped to bring about these changes.
Nicola Jones, Head of Repairs said, ‘Our Property Services Team have been working closely with our tenants at Repairs Forums to understand how they would like the Repairs Service to look and feel. Our tenants have told us that they would like to be able to choose when we come to their home to complete non-emergency repairs. Reducing the number of repairs priorities, means we can ensure better availability of emergency appointments and a more flexible appointment system which allows us to offer more choice to our tenants’.
