The Regulator of Social Housing checks that all landlords like Golden Lane Housing are following the rules issued by Government about the housing and services they provide. Some of these checks are called ‘In Depth Assessments’.

Last year the Regulator of Social Housing carried out an ‘In Depth Assessment’ on Golden Lane Housing to make sure we are managing our finances well and that we are well run.

We are very pleased to say that following this assessment, we have been awarded the highest results.

Today the Regulator has announced we have the highest results for Governance (G1) and Financial Viability (V1).

Governance means the rules, checks and policies an organisation uses to show how it is managed.

Financial Viability is how a landlord is able to successfully manage its money and stay financially strong.

As part of the In-Depth Assessment the Regulator of Social Housing reviewed documents, looked at data and information about how we deliver housing and housing services to tenants. They also interviewed senior leaders and board members.

“We are really delighted to keep the top rating following our latest detailed review by the Regulator.

The results show the hard work and commitment of our staff, board members and tenant groups to make Golden Lane Housing a well-managed and financially strong housing association.

We want to involve tenants even more to improve the way we work in the future. This result provides a good foundation to develop more partnerships to provide new housing for people with a learning disability and autistic people that continues to be so greatly needed.

This spring we will be launching Our Plan which sets out our key goals for the next three years. Our Plan has been developed jointly with our More Voices, More Choices tenant committee, our staff, and our board, to improve the way we work and support our impact.
