Wellness at Golden Lane Housing
May 18, 2020
Investing time in yourself and creating space to reach your own personal goals is something Golden Lane Housing is passionate about.
By growing knowledge, challenging yourself and developing skills it can help you get to where you want to be.
Back in September we adopted the 8 Dimensions of Wellness, a framework that builds on our health and well-being work. Combining the ideas from staff alongside the ongoing work has helped us to continue supporting our culture.
During the Coronavirus situation, we have geared online activities to be done from the comfort of a person’s home. Staff can access online programmes to support their health and wellbeing. People are kindly sharing their expertise and hobbies for activities that staff can get involved in.
We have made some of the activities engaging and interactive for our tenants and others that will be shared soon, including across our social media channels.
Adele Currie, people business partner explains, “Golden Lane Housing has a positive and proactive approach to work life balance. Well-being is high on our agenda, and even more so in this year of unprecedented times. Working at home is new to some, and even for those who are based at home can be challenging. The 8 Dimensions of Wellness is a fantastic framework that we use that supports people’s health and well-being at work and can be taken into their daily lives.”
